Ryan Van Ryzin – President
Terrella Van Ryzin – Secretary
Ryan Van Ryzin, a native of Wisconsin, moved to Floridain 1997. In 2000, he married Terrella in the Diocese of Palm Beach, and the following year, he embraced the Catholic faith, beginning a profound journey of spiritual growth. Terrella, originally from Trinidad, is the youngest of six children from a large Catholic family. She has been a devoted servant in the Diocese of Palm Beach since her youth. Together, Ryan and Terrella have four sons who share their love for the Lord and their enthusiasm for the great outdoors.
Ryan, a general contractor, founded Van Ryzin
Construction in 2007 and has been a registered contractor with the Diocese since 2015. Terrella, a passionate music educator,
contributed to the diocesan community by teaching at various schools before joining Ryan in running his business. The couple’s Catholic faith is the foundation of their family, and their sons are also striving to live out their faith. As a family, they have served the Church in many capacities, including the boys’ service as altar servers, with their youngest son continuing the tradition.
Their two eldest sons, William and Lucas, are currently serving in the Army National Guard and pursuing higher education. James, the third son, recently graduated high school and spent his summer working at a Catholic camp in California with FOCUS, while Xavier, their youngest, is a junior in high school. The Van Ryzin family has been deeply involved in family camping retreats, having actively participated in various camping ministries across the United States.
For many years, Ryan and Terrella have been discerning the call to establish a Catholic camp within the Diocese of Palm Beach. With the prayers and support of their sons, and in full alignment with the Lord’s will, they are now ready to “Do whatever He tells you.” The Van Ryzin family views life with Christ as a great adventure and are eager to see how the Lord will work through the Holy Family Camp and Retreat Center in the years to come.
